Lullaby for a Baby

The tiny filly slowly opened the door to her parent's room. She was supposed to be sleeping, but she had to make sure the baby got their lullaby song! Lullaby slowly tip-toed into the large room, each bell she wore made a tiny chiming sound - she cursed the sound at the moment, but she wasn't just gonna take them off!

Luna: "Lullaby Night, why is thou up at such an hour and not resting?" 

Lullaby flinched, her bells making more noise. The voice was commanding, but gentle and Lullaby shrunk back with disappointment at being caught.

Lullaby: "I-I.....I wanted to sing to the baby, mama.... If I don't then she won't be able to sleep!" Lullaby tried to reason with her mother.

Before Luna could respond, Lullaby suddenly found herself up in the air, being carried over to her parent's bed. Once placed down, she looked up to see who would dare pick her up without her permission! She smiled when she saw the familiar bat pony climb in bed next to her mother.

Lullaby: "Daddy!" Lullaby quickly stood up and clung onto her father's snout when he had laid down.

MidKnight: "Little Bell." He smiled. Her father's voice was raspy and quiet, but that was his normal voice. He was naturally a quiet talker. What had caught her attention was the exhaustion she also heard. Lullaby stood up, puffing her cheeks and chest out - her wings opened wide to try and make herself look bigger. 

Lullaby: "Daddy! Why are you home late!? You should be home with mommy, my little sister, and me in bed sleeping!"

Luna gave her daughter a curious look. Wasn't she just about to give her daughter the same lecture about being up instead of sleeping?

MidKnight: "I'm sorry Little Bell... Daddy had to fix the guards shields and swords. How else will I know they will be able to protect you, mommy, and the baby?" MidKnight leaned over and gave Lullaby a quick nuzzle then the same attention to Luna's stomach. 

Lullaby: "I'll forgive you if you let me sleep in here with you guys and sing a lullaby to my sister." Lullaby gave her biggest puppy-dog eyes. Something she knew would always get her whatever she wanted if she did it in front of her father.

Luna: "Lullaby..." Luna gave a sigh, but knew it wouldn't do much. Her husband had mastered crafting the best armor, shields, and weapons. But when it came to Lullaby - he was defenseless. 

MidKnight: "How can I say no to my Little Bell?" He gave a small smile - full of love, but also a look defeat that Lullaby knew too well whenever she gave her father that look. "But, you know we don't know if you are having a sister.... You could be having a little brother." His smile widened when he saw his daughter's face scrunch up.

Lullaby: "No! I'm having a little sister and I'm gonna be the best big sister! Then I'm gonna teach her all kinds of things and show her all my bells, sparkles, ribbons, and toys!"

Lullaby smiled and quickly cuddled between the two and started making a very low 'bat screeching' noise. It wasn't a normal bat screech - Lullaby had a talent in making her's sound like a gentle lullaby itself. The sound would put children and babies to sleep, but for adults it put them in a serene mood. 

MidKnight closed his eyes, already on the verge of passing out from a hard day by the forge - till he felt a sudden thump hit the side of his face.

Lullaby: "Daddy! You can't sleep yet! I'm not done with my song!" Lullaby pouted then leaned back against her father, making sure he stays awake till her song was finished. 

Luna smiled. She could feel her unborn child's happiness from hearing her first born's 'song'. Looking at her little family only filled her up with more happiness.

I have been having such difficulties with submitting things here, so it may take a bit longer for me to submit pics here than what it normally does, until I get things fixed! Thank you for being patient with me!

This is Luna with her husband MidKnight Shield and their daughter: Lullaby Night! Luna is currently pregnant.

(Also exploring different appearances for the ponies. Usually I try to keep it in show style, but I really want to change that - so there my be slight appearance changes for the mane six and their families! Hope that's alright!)
