Make myself clear...

Charming: "Thank you for coming to visit. I know my sister must send you several invites, but it means a lot to her knowing the citizens here enjoy your stories."

Mirage: "It's no trouble, I enjoy sharing my stories here. I am glad your sister is starting to get well."

Charming: "I agree, but she still has her days..." 

Mirage could hear the sadness in his voice, though didn't mention it knowing that Charming had tried to hide it.

Charming: "But I cannot imagine the condition she would be in if she didn't have her doctor here. He's really been a great help. Speaking of which, Dr. Reins!"

This other pony must have just appeared in the hallway Charming and Mirage were walking in. Charming motioned for the pony to come over.

Charming: "Mirage, this is Dr. Scout Reins, he is Locket's personal doctor."

Scout: "Mirage." 

Scout had nodded in Mirage's direction, but got nothing in return. Mirage just stood there facing his direction. Scout had heard of this pony before, but this is his first time being face-to-face with him.  Scout heard that he was very polite, but Mirage offered no greeting back to him. Scout almost felt like this pony was.....scanning him? Mirage finally smiled and nodded back after the awkward staring between the two.

Charming: "Mirage, I hate to leave you, but I have more paper work to get to before my next meeting with traders. Dr. Reins here will escort you the rest of the way out, if it is alright."

Scout looked at Mirage still, feeling oddly uncomfortable by the blind pony's gaze. Then cleared his throat when finally noticing that he was being spoken to and bowed in apology.

Scout: "Yes, your majesty. Mirage if you will continue this way."

Mirage turned toward Charming offering a  quick bow and followed the smaller pony. Scout thought he had built a comfortable distance from Mirage, but with his long legs, Mirage was beside him in no time. 

It felt like hours of walking in pure silence with this pony, when really it had only been a few minutes. Scout still could not understand why this stallion beside him made him so nervous. He nearly jumped out of his skin when Mirage had started to speak.

Mirage: "What are you doing here?"

Scout: "Wha-, oh. I am the princess's personal doctor. I stay here most days to keep track of-"

Mirage started to chuckle very quietly, causing Scout to stop speaking and look over in Mirage's direction. Before he knew it, Mirage had pinned him  to the wall with his clawed paw. They were hidden in the shadows and no pony was near to help him. Scout could feel Mirage's claws extend and pierce his skin enough to cause him to not struggle. He hadn't pierced him with his claws to draw blood..... yet...

Mirage: "Perhaps, I didn't make myself clear..." Mirage spoke in an intimidating manner. Scout could have sworn he saw his fangs grow.

Mirage: "What are 'you' doing here...?" "The citizens here....they are crystal ponies. I hear a certain 'twinkle' from them, but you..."

Mirage leaned in closer.

Mirage: " You have a...'buzzing' sound. One that only comes from a certain species...."

Scout's heart stopped. This pony knew what he truly was.

Scout: "WAIT! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!"
